[Author: Piero Boccardo]
Palazzo Rosso, the first of the Strada Nuova Museums, was for two centuries the most beautiful residence of the Brignole-Sale family and became a public museum in 1874 by choice of its last owners. The book specifically retraces its last living phase, when it was already municipal property, that is, the moment in which Albini arranged the lodging of the then Director of the Civic Museums: that “apartment of an art lover” – as it was publicized in 1955 in one of the most prestigious architectural magazines of the time – which has significantly influenced the ways of modern living.

Palazzo Rosso, the first of the Strada Nuova Museums, was for two centuries the most beautiful residence of the Brignole-Sale family and became a public museum in 1874 by choice of its last owners. Maria Brignole-Sale De Ferrari, Duchess of Galliera, who signed the deed of donation to the City of Genoa, wanted to configure it as a sort of monument to her lineage. After the Second World War, it became a cornerstone of museology thanks to Franco Albini’s installation. The building is famous for the seventeenth-century fresco decoration of the second piano nobile, for the masterpieces of Italian and European painting, and for the luxurious eighteenth-century furnishings. MM Company Design philosophy

Our design philosophy is based on this assumption: a good product must be, first and foremost, the result of the quality of research, examination, in-depth analysis. That is what we call creative consulting. A product designer must have a creative method that helps him understand the multifaceted society in which he lives, immersing him in a reality that we like to call kaleidoscopic.
